Quarterbacks JAY CUTLER of the Denver Broncos, AARON RODGERS of the Green Bay Packers and KURT WARNER of the Arizona Cardinals are the finalists for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week honors for games played on September 14 - 15, while running backs DARREN MC FADDEN of the Oakland Raiders, WILLIE PARKER of the Pittsburgh Steelers and CLINTON PORTIS of the Washington Redskins are the finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week honors, the NFL announced today. Fans can vote for one player in each category on NFL.com/FedEx from 9 a.m

1) Dallas: Record 2-0 (Win vs Eagles 41-37): Last weeks rank: #1: They beat the Birds and retain the #1 spot, but this is a game that makes a team who thinks their on the way to the Super Bowl to think twice. They visit Green Bay next week, in another top marquee match-up that could be another playoff preview and their next big test. 2) New York Giants: Record 2-0 (Beat the Rams 41-13) Last weeks rank #5: Took a while to get started but they exploded in the second half and took care of business.

Rumors continue to swirl about the future of Jeff Garcia as the QB for the Bucs, but for now, like it or not Brian Griese is going to get the start Sunday vs the Bears in Chicago. In the end it may be a better move since Griese is a former Bear and knows Lovie Smith’s defensive systems. Plus Griese did look solid as the Bucs rebounded from a week one loss to the Saints with a 24-9 thumping of the Falcons Sunday at home.

With Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, Eli Manning, Jason Campbell, and Trent Edwards all getting it done this past Sunday, it appears we are watching the next great generation of quarterbacks; however, while these young single callers continue to grow into their own, the current generation of greats is not quite ready to ride off into the sunset. Peyton Manning, Tony Romo, Donovan McNabb, and Kurt Warner all put up 12 or more fantasy points, showing they still have something left in the tank
